My name is Manini Ojha and I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, O. P. Jindal Global University. I have received my Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University, United States, in 2018.

Prior to this, I was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. I received my M.A. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and B.A. in Economics from Delhi University.

My fields of research are: Applied Microeconometrics, Empirical Development Economics, Economics of Education, Economics of the Households, Economics of Gender, Health Economics and Labour Economics.

My research interests lie in the areas of household dynamics and gender differences, domestic violence, health and education. My current work focuses on the effects of contraception on child health, fertility targets and sterilization in India. My other work focuses on examining the effect of specific government policies in India.
